چکیده

Abstract Background and Aims Patients on hemodialysis (HD), are a clinically vulnerable population. We analyzed changes in the results of KDQOL™-36 questionnaire carried out 2019 vs 2021, during Covid-19 pandemic. have related to demographic analytical parameters, BCM, modality dose dialysis, addition having suffered COVID-19 infection. Method This is retrospective, observational analysis performed 47 clinics from Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) Spain. As part our Healthcare Quality Improvement Program, HRQoL measurements were assessed using questionnaire. evaluates Physical Mental Composite Scores (PCS MCS, respectively) three disease-specific scales: Effects, Burden Symptoms dimensions (EKD, BKD, SKD). focused 1000 patients who completed both surveys 2021 order analyze differences. compared by Wilcoxon test. between was calculated for each QoL Score. categorized based evolution (improvement worsening) relationship improvement different variables univariate multivariate logistic regression. Non-normal categorized. Results The presented detail figures section. Conclusion Except PCS, there an 2019. Women worse EKD, MCS SKD scores. In study, infection did not seem be factor associated with quality-of-life 2021. OL-HDF scale those treated conventional therapy. Higher lean tissue index PCS scale. Age better EKD as CCI above 5 MSC Improvement. BKD HD vintage.

The clinical presentation may be indistinguishable from that associated with classic ...

Pharmacological PKA inhibition: all may not be what it seems.

Signaling through the cyclic adenosine monophosphate-dependent protein kinase [protein kinase A (PKA)] is an important and widely studied area of signal transduction research. This signaling pathway is commonly investigated through the use of the pharmacological PKA inhibitors H89 and KT 5720. Both of these compounds are thought to block PKA actions through competitive inhibition of the adenosi...

Pharmacological PKA Inhibition : All May Not Be What It Seems

Page 1 Overview of cAMP Signaling The transduction of extracellular signals to intracellular responses is one of the most important and complicated aspects of cellular life. The cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) signaling pathway is involved in numerous processes and is widely regarded as the “classical” second messenger signaling pathway. cAMP is synthesized from adenosine triphosphate (AT...
